There will not be a spring issue of  “Visions 2007”.  All units/clubs were asked to provide articles.  No articles have been received to date.

The following is a list of six important items that need focus at this time:

1.  Contracts for the 2007/2008 Midwestern Sectional Tournaments have been signed. 

2007 -  Hyatt Regency Woodfield, Schaumberg, IL August 30, thru Sept 3, 2007

2008 -  Renaissance St Louis Hotel Airport  Aug 28, thru Sept 1, 2008

2.  Our Midwest By-Laws need reviewapter Chapter V titled “Section Tournaments” should be revised.  Presidents of all units/clubs should appoint a By-law committee person.  Please send the names of your selections to the following persons:

4.  Enclosed you will find the minutes of the Board of Director’s meeting at the Spring National April 6, 7, 9 & 14 2007.  Also, minutes from the General Membership Meeting Tuesday April 10.  I have already talked with all of the committee appointees about the report that is due at the Midwestern Section Tournament..

5.  The Midwestern Section is the host for the 2007 Midwestern Sectional Tournament.  According to the By Laws, chapter V, “Section Tournaments”,  part C titled, “Unit Responsibilities”, the host duties are the responsibilitiy of the Midwestern Section for 2007.  I would like to ask that each unit/club donate $1.00 for every member, to help with the cost of hospitality.

6. We would like to ask all members who plan to attend the Sectional Tournament to pre-register for a gift.  Please send: NAME/ADDRESS/CITY/STATE/TELEPHONE/ABA NUMBER to the S.V.P by July 10, 2007:

We have proven that we can work together.  Let us make it our goal not only continue the strong tradition of the Midwest Section, but to increase our membership and our continuing commitment to bridge and this organization.

Letter to reference. Anita Troy's letter to all Section Vice Presidents is being forwarded to all Presidents/Secretaries in each unit/club. Please call the following article to the attention of your members, "Join the ABA Mix in 2006 38^th Spring National". This article can be found in the ABA Newsletter December 2005. It would be helpful for you to point this article out to your members.

St Louis Grade A.  The dates for the St Louis Grade A are February 17^th thru 20^th. All clubs and units should have received their flyers by this time.
